Peugeot Citroen recalls 2,000 cars in Spain

Peugeot Citroen in Spain recalled more than 2,000 cars accelerator pedal. According to sources, the recall is quite similar to that noticed by Toyota for eight models of its brand including the Aygo city.

The models include Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1, which is said to have some problem with its accelerator pedal. Moreover, the company has also announced that it will do a free update.

Meanwhile, as per the report released by the Spanish subsidiaries of both brands, “PSA Peugeot Citroen has today called for a review in Spain of 1400 units of Peugeot 107 model and about 700 of the Citroen C1, to undertake a free review of the accelerator pedal.”

However, the problem is almost the same as detected by Toyota for eight models of its brand, which is manufactured mutually with the two models now involved in the French automotive group.

Further, the source added that they have begun to send letters to customers involved and added that the detected fault is unlikely to be in all the cars recalled.
