Spain has decided to lend 500 million euros to Angola, in order to strengthen trade between the two countries, said Silvia Iranzo, Spanish Secretary for State on Wednesday.

In comments broadcast over Radio National De Angola, Iranzo further declared that Spain has planned to go ahead with a separate 200 million euro loan to Angola, which has been agreed two years back.

Iranzo said that the two countries were discussing on two different lines of credit, one was a loan of 500 euros, which carried some commercial conditions and other was a 200 million euros loan that was the part of a financial programme, which was signed between the two countries two years ago, but was yet to come into force.
