Rafael Nadal, holding the no. 2 world ranking, has been included in Spain’s squad for Davis cup final against the Czech Republic. The 23-year-old Nadal missed the last year’s final due to injury.
For the final match, the rest of the squad includes world no. 8 ranking holder Fernando Verdaasco, David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez.
The final will start in Spain on 4 December.
The Czechs, who are yet to win the trophy since 1980 when Ivan Lendl led them to victory, have also beaten France and Argentina to reach the finals.
The final will be held on indoor clay at the Palau Sant Jordi in Bercilona, the place where Spain has registered three Davis cup victories in the year 2000.
Nadal was away from the game for last two months due to knee tendonitis earlier this year, and has not won a title since his return in August.
