Abertis Eyes Expansion in Chile

Abertis CEO Salvador Alemany highlighted the investments made by the Spanish company in Chile.
He also said that if suitable business chances come up, the company does not rule out strengthening the volume of operations in the country.
Mr. Alemany pointed out, “Apart from Spain, Chile is the country in which we have a major presence in its different sectors.”
“In volume (Chile) is ahead of France and we are present in all five activity sectors in which we operate,” he added.”
Mr. Salvador along with some of the executives from the infrastructure and telecommunications management company are in Chile as part of a business tour to visit the projects in the country, and to meet with authorities and local business houses.
The Spanish businessman also said that the security provided by Chile’s legal structure is really beneficial for Abertis, and he insisted that Chile will continue to receive big investments over next few years.
Abertis Infraestructuras is a Spanish company, which operates 6,713 kilometres of motorways in the European market and runs over a dozen airports in cities such as London, Stockholm and Orlando.
Abertis is part of the IBEX-35 index and is being traded on the Bolsa de Madrid. Its headquarters are in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
